Give Haribo gummi bears a new, grown-up twist by soaking them in liquor.
Soaking Haribo gummi bears in liquor and making drunken gummi bears is fun and yummy. The swollen bears look cute, too!
To make drunken gummi bears, line them up in tupperware so they don’t stick together, and pour in some liquor that goes well with juice (like whisky, brandy, and liqueur). Then stick them in the refrigerator for a few days. When they suck up the liquor, they get squishy like this.
Apparently Haribo gummi bears were originally made for European children to make their jaws and teeth stronger, so soaking them in alcohol until they’re soft seems really blasphemous. Make more!
According to the Japanese importer Mitsubishi Shokuhin, Haribo’s Gold Bears are made tougher than other gummi bears, to make children’s jaws and teeth stronger.
