Next time you eat instant noodles, please don’t throw away the leftover soup. It can turn into a chawanmushi (an egg custard dish).
After you eat instant noodles, you pour the leftover soup into a mug cup and put an egg into it. You mix it together and microwave it. Then, there will be a delicious chawanmushi for you. If there is quite a lot of soup left, you can put two eggs instead.
It takes 2 or 3 minutes for 500W. It also depends on the amount. It might be a good idea to check the dish while it’s cooking. Please don’t forget to wrap it!
I recommend moving the soup into a mug cup. A container of instant noodle can bend or break.
All you have to do is to mix the leftover soup and a couple of eggs together and microwave it for 2 to 3 minutes for 500W. It’s better to move the soup into a mug cup to avoid deformation of a container.
It also works well with seafood flavor or curry flavor.
The recipe is easy, and you can try it with different flavors. This can fill the spot when you are feeling especially peckish.
