Ishikawa prefecture has been bustling with more visitors since the Hokuriku Shinkansen was opened to traffic. If you are visiting the area, there is a special ice cream that you might want to try.

This is Shining Gold Leaf ice cream sold at Hakuichi Higashiyama on Higashijaya shopping street in Kanazawa, Ishikawa prefecture. It has a 10×10 gold leaf on top.

It costs 891 yen, which is rather expensive for ice creams. Nonetheless, let’s see how it tastes.

The gold leaf doesn’t seem to have any flavor, but the ice cream itself seems quite nice.

The ice cream is only available for limited numbers. You might want to give it a try when you visit Kanazawa.
