Love(Live), Japanese anime about high school girls trying to defend their school from getting closed down has earned fame across countries. Some international cosplayers did it’s cosplay and the result was impressive (you can read the report here). The excitement about this anime keeps going on, now that even Qatar Airways, one of the only seven 5-star airlines in the world also put Love(Live) in their in-flight theatre.
I was surprised to find “Love Live!” (only one episode) in Qatar Airways. Seeing Japanese Anime in their in-flight display is shocking.
It’s amazing to be able to watch Japanese Anime on the word’s greatest airlines. However, Love(Live) is actually not the only Japanese anime you can watch while flying.
On Singapore Airlines, “Doraemon” can be watched. They have the latest movie.
Every airline has the latest movies. I know that some Japanese-friendly country-airlines have Japanese anime like “Doraemon” playing in their airplanes!
If you are keen on watching Japanese anime in flight, keep in mind that there are times they are not available.
You can watch it only on Istanbul-Doha flight, but not on every flight. On DOH-HND (Doha-Haneda) route , you can listen to J-Pop, too.
These Japanese Twitter users were delighted knowing one of their cultures spread widely across the universe. Certainly people behind the anime production will take this as appreciation for their great work too. Do you like Japanese anime too?
