No one expected this commercial is about glue.

The Cemedine glue ads imitated a fashion magazine using a male model picture. It also used headlines like, “Tips to using this autumn’s super popular Cemedine. Only with one SuperX, it will fit anything in your wardrobe”.

It also has additional phrase: “Revealing the secret of sticking”. Because the ads is so stylish featuring a male figure, it can mislead the interpretation, making it sounds like it’s talking about love.

The market response was positive too!

The company who published this ad, “Cemedine”, received emails asking where the “magazine” is available. Of course there is no plan of publication, but it’s possible that they’re secretly planning on making adhesive-themed fashion magazines, right? Nonetheless, they have shown us a new marketing and advertising approach. Quite inspiring!
